Brighton Photo Fringe, Hastings

A peculiar title, but this is an extension of the Brighton Photo Fringe. It is Hastings first attempt at putting on the event in our own town.

I am taking part in the event with 'Zoom' Image Group. The members will take part in having a small selection of work on show.

This time, I have chosen to show a triptych of black and white prints. The images show close-ups of old wooden boats stranded at Dungeness.

The texture of grain in the wood is exaggerated by the starkness of monotone. One can imagine the bright blue skies in the scene, where a small white fluffy cloud, works in great contrast with the linear, rough exterior of the boat.
